Today I go for a job interview. I don't normally work outside the home except during the holidays when I take pictures of kids with Santa at the mall. I really love that job, but it's obviously not a year round thing. And, with four of the kids in school this fall, I've been thinking about having something else to do. Poor Lizzy has always has a playmate and I think she will be just lost without Kari.

So, I've applied for a job at the YMCA in the child watch. I know it may seem like a complete waist of my impressive education (BS in communication) but to be perfectly honest, I don't really enjoy sitting behind a desk. I do enjoy children. And, if I'm home I chase after Lizzy. If I go to work at the child watch, I chase after Lizzy and a few other kids. It's not really all that much different than what I do every day anyway; I might as well get paid for it!

Confession: I have this fantasy that if I'm working, even part time, that the house will be more clean and organized. I have nothing really to support this. Maybe it's because there will be less time spent in the house to mess it up? Maybe with me having to be some place every day at the same time, it will help me get everything else organized.

If the YMCA job doesn't pan out, I'm still thinking about substitute teaching.
