busy busy

Wow...I can't believe how crazy things are right now. We're getting ready for Christmas in full force. I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I work a seasonal job and we start Saturday! This is my first year as manager and I'm incredibly stressed. I want everything to be perfect and to achieve our sales goal.

I'm also hostessing Thanksgiving. We're just having the missionaries over from our church, so that's just four extra people. Not like years past where it was 10 extras. I am hoping I can keep the food under control! I have a tendency to overdo the food thing at Thanksgiving. I could probably feed 30 people with the amount I usually cook. I told D we're only doing two pies, and he wants three. Three pies for 11 people. I don't think so.

My menu is looking pretty basic right now. Turkey, two varieties (half recipes of each) of sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green salad, the funky jell-o/cottage cheese salad from D's family, two kinds of pie, and deviled eggs...and some homemade rolls. Yeah, that sounds like too much food, but everyone wants their favorites. *sigh*

I'm also working both the day before and the day after Thanksgiving. This means we're eating on nice paper plates.

I also have a ton of sewing and things to get done at some point. And at least two school functions I have to figure out how to manage. hahahaha yeah...all of this is going to happen with me working 40+ hours a week. I already told my OB I can't make it back in until January.
