Then, I decided it wasn't that hot so I should totally finish putting in the garden. At 330 p.m. In Alabama.
Like I said, my brain isn't functioning too well at the moment.
I can't complete a coherent segue between being sick and what I really wanted to share today:
Remember that free dresser I scored and repainted?
It's been featured as the most clicked link at Domestically Speaking's Power of Paint Party this week! I seriously didn't love the project but the feedback on it has been so positive.
It was also featured on the Shady Porch's Porch Parade!
Oh and on
White Lights on Wednesday And Radcrafter. And Drab to Fab!
The only real criticism I have of the feedback is that most people who are looking at it, the colors are off on your monitors! seriously LOL It's a bright sunny yellow and a dark GREY, not blue. I guess it does have some blue undertones, but it's not blue ;)
In celebration of having my being featured on a project, we need to break out the Nutella. In case you didn't know, Nutella isn't healthy. It's sin in a jar. But if you bought Nutella between January 1. 2008 and February 3, 2012, you can file as part of class action suit. I plan to use my claim money to buy more Nutella.
Meanwhile, my new favorite Nutella dessert is Nutella Strawberry Shortcake.
Yeah. I know, right?
This recipe isn't rocket science. But it is an explosion of flavor. Chocolatey, sweet, summer...it's all there. And, you can make a little or a lot. No real measuring needed.
Nutella Strawberry Shortcake
1 jar nutella
1 small poundcake
8-10 strawberries, sliced then sprinkled with sugar
Whipped Topping
Smother Nutella on your shortcake, pound cake, angel food cake...whatever your chosen delivery method for the Nutella. Then top with strawberries that have been sprinkled with sugar. Add whipped topping.
Enjoy.

You found my vice. NUTELLA!! I always go for the nutella strawberry conbo when I get crepes.. so adding it poundcake sounds delightful! And on that note have you tried that Biscoff spread? Even more unhealthy and delicious!
